NEW Brewer's Choice at the Cock&Bull: THE DIRTY BLONDE Belgian Witbier, 4.8% alc

The latest batch of the DIRTY BLONDE has arrived at the taps of the Cock & Bull Traditional English Pubs for Summer. This Blonde is brewed to the traditional Belgian Witbier style here at Steam Brewing Company in Auckland, using freshly minced orange-peel and coriander with a particular Witbier yeast that leaves the beer white and creamy.

It is available ...NOW at all the pubs (Botany, Ellerslie, Hamilton, Lynfield and Newmarket) and we will be sending our brewers out there if you want to have a chat about the beer on the following dates:

Wednesday the 18th January 6:30pm - Hamilton and Lynfield

Wednesday the 25th January 6:30pm - Botany and Ellerslie

Thursday the 26th January 6:30pm - Newmarket (All locations can be found at www.cockandbull.co.nz)

A recent award winner at the Australian International Beer Awards (2010 Bronze, 2009 Silver), the Dirty Blonde is a very ‘true to style’ Belgian Witbier. Witbiers are known for their pale colour, orange and coriander flavours, phenolic clove-like fermentation profile and cloudy appearance. This wheat beer balances a full creamy mouth feel and a quenching tart taste. This year we have intensified the orange, so that it’s lively and luxurious!

Institute of Brewing and Distilling Exam Results

Congratulations to our boys Jason, Tom and Sam for passing their exams this year - the hard work has paid off!
Sam passed his final exam - Module 3: Packaging Technology/Process Technology
Tom passed two exams - Modules 1 & 2: Materials and Wort & Yeast and Beer
Jason passed his exam - General Certificate in Packaging

Thus Sam has completed his Diploma in Brewing. There are not many people in NZ able to use the post-nominals 'Dipl. Brew' and they are all quite intelligent. He says he is extremely pleased to have attained the qualification and looks forward to receiving the official "IBD Diploma in Brewing Tankard". He plans to take a year off studying to "have some fun with his family". It is fantastic to have you on board Sam - well done.

Again a big pat on the back to Tom and Jason also, your book-smarts complement your team-work and you are a credit to our company.
